How do I make homemade butter chips look like this?
You'd have to find a company to make your little foil papers. Then you need to wrap your chips using a commercially produced chip wrapper as a template for the fold lines.
Years ago people used to pour butter into cute little butter moulds. Those chips weren't wrapped. I suppose you could wrap them with clear or colored plastic wrap that you cut into little squares.

i use those for my parties and whatnot. i whip the butter with heavy cream. spread in a shallow dish. chill and cut out with tiny canape cutters. sometimes i do put them through a press. i only make what i plan to use at the time. ~Georgia
I remember an old cookbook that showed how to make butter curls with a vegetable peeler.
They used firm butter, made the curls by drawing the peeler across the top, and put the curls ice water to set.
