Any ideas on a cheap and reasonably nice looking fencing option? I have about 100ft of 2' welded wire fence 6ft tall that i need to "block" off with some sort of fabric. The neighbours dog is becoming quite the pain with fence fighting my dogs and nipping at chicken butts and such. I have spoken the with the neighbour and we all know how that went......so, I can't afford at this point to wood fence the whole area (but will in sections), so it was suggested to me to buy some 90% shade cloth or blackout shade cloth but here on our little island that will set me back upwards of 700 bucks.....will do it if I have to, but thought I'd ask if anyone had any other ideas first???
thanks!!

I wonder if you could use housewrap (typar?) We have a huge building that has been wrapped with typar while we construct (slowly...very slowly) the cordwood walls. It is extremely durable having withstood 2 winters, 100 km winds, blazing sun and rain. It hasn't broken down at all. My DH used 2x4 cross bracing to attach the typar to the building.
Just a thought, and it's not as expensive.

Here's a picture showing the typar, cross bracing and the very beginning of the wall :D

I Got Some Cheap Taffeta Type Camo Fabric Off Ebay And Made An End For One Barn.....strung Clothesline Rope Threw The Top And The Bottom, And The Grands Got Up There And Nailed It On About Two Feet Apart All Across The Top. Just Slightly Pulled The Slack On The Bottom Rope....pulled The Top Rope To Make It Fit Tight.

Then I Have A Fake Field Wire Fence On Both Sides Of My Back Door steps for 6 feet each way, About 4 Feet Out parallel to The House. Until I Got Vines Growing, I Clothespinned a Large Sheet Of That Same Camo on both fences on the side next to the house...looked kinda neat from the road....you could see the acu camo[green/grey] thru the field wire - For A Privacy Screen.

Thanks for all the ideas! I do have a x-tra charger that i use every now and again for the goats when they start pushing it.....hmmm. I'll go try that today. I'm also abit concerned with those mutts jumping the fence, could a dog jump a 6 ft fence? i've been told by a few people they can thats why i was wanting to just block the view all together. Just talked with a friend and they suggested the call the lumber yards and ask for lumber wrappers as they apparantly will give them to you for free??? Might take a drive down and talk to someone??
thanks again!
