How could anybody be dumb enough to believe that selling beans to China so they can sell stuff made from beans back to us is a good business model? Agriculture has been broken for a very long time. Sometimes it's hard, but a man will walk up and put a bullet in something's head so it can stop thrashing. And say, she's dead son, she just doesn't know it yet, and I just convinced her. When your tears dry up, you will realize he was right.

We already know that the Amish are MAGA. We have a pretty big tent.
Part of why we won Pennsylvania.

I watched that in slow motion on election night, on CNN!
Just to see the lib reaction... It was PRICELESS!!! :D
They posted results for most all states, except Pennsylvania.
Hours later when it finally turned red on their map, they turned into zombies...

They put away all their charts and graphs, and turned off their map, sat there and just mumbled to each other. (I often wonder if any of them are still employed:ROFLMAO:)
Yes, you are correct, the Amish owned it!!!
We all owe them a huge thanks!

It's too much work to keep up with the fencing. Easier to dump grain in a trough than to let cattle out to graze.
If you build a fence with good solid wood posts it will last a long time. Even with high prices for cattle, the cost of materials has increased faster. Putting up fence is harder than sitting in a combine. I have a 160 or so posts to put in but I've been holding off hoping for rain to soften the ground. Even with a 3pt auger on the tractor, digging post holes is some pretty miserable work. With the drought we've been going through I'm fencing in more pasture. We've cut back on the amount of cattle we run and I'm even thinking next year we'll maybe just run 2 head or none at all so we can replant pastures. This is the 3rd year in a row we've had extreme drought in our area. The pastures are looking pretty ugly.

The posts around my grandpa's fields lasted longer than the fencing attached to them. When they were pulled out to make room for the larger equipment those posts were still as solid as when they were put in at least 50 years before.

But my goodness, how the cost of fencing has gone up! And good locust posts are almost impossible to find.

When fencing I usually have at least one 16 foot or larger gate opening (outside gates and gates between pastures). The most gates in a pasture is 4 and the least gates in a pasture is 3.

That's a good setup. I sold out 7 or8 years ago on cows. I still have everything I already bought for 5 strand high tensile. That's enough for 2 miles.
