Should she be concerned?

Without going into details, heres the situation. A woman comes home at 8 in the morning after a graveyard shift and finds DH and one of his oldest dearest friends (male) sleeping in the guest bedroom, there is also a younger woman in the next room whose clothing is in a pile next to the pool. Several other signs of a "good time" being had during the night, such as snacks by the pool, and empty drink glasses, wet bathing suits strewn about. Hubby and "friends" all claim things were very innocent and no fooling around occurred. Should this woman be concerned?

So, who's fooling around? The men with the men? They ARE all sleeping together!

And are there underpants with that pile of clothes (assumed to be female) near the pool or did she wear clothes OVER hear bathing suit, like women often do?

It all comes down to "Does she trust her husband or does she think he's lying."

To me, I'd be suspicious but she has 3 people she can question. Just because people partied doesn't mean they were having sex. His old friend and the girl could have fooled around and her husband did not.

I know that if MY husband had told me that he did not have any inappropriate relations with either of the other people, I trusted him to be telling me the truth. But not everyone has that level of relationship either.

no, they werent all sleeping together, just the men, the woman was in the next room, but quite without a stitch on. All of her clothes were by the pool, including undergarments and she had no swimming suit.

This woman loves her hubby, and knows he wouldnt lie to her or fool around.

Let me just say this....she does not know that he wouldn't lie and she does not know that he wouldn't fool around.

Millions of women have thought the exact same thing...right up until the big reveal.

Not saying that he did or didn't lie or cheat. Just saying that "I know he would never lie to me" is a falacy.

The best rule of thumb in a marriage is "if this is something that would make my spouse uncomfortable, then I shouldn't participate in it".

Well, let me put it another way then. She honestly "believes" that he wouldnt lie to her or fool around on her behind her back. After all these guys have been buds for quite a while, and its not unusual for them to spend nights out together by themselves, sometimes even weekends.

It is possible that the friend brought the girl and they had a good time out by the pool. Friend goes into guest room. DH, who has been drinking, goes into guest room to talk to the friend and falls asleep. Woman sleeps by herself.

Personally? I would let it go. The fact that they are in separate rooms would clue me in. Would her DH be foolish enough to mess around in his own home with his best friend present, knowing his wife is coming home, make any sense? Sometimes things are exactly what they appear!

Should be concerned? -No.
Really, really, really ticked off? -Yes.

If there was hardcore hanky panky going on I think the scene might have looked different.
However... not cool to participate in anything that would raise questions.

It might have been all innocent, but she still had to stop and think and that is not proper at all.

Then why is there a question at all?

Did DH and his oldest dearest male friend have their clothes on or were they naked?

really, common really?

One thing I'll add here is your going to question, well that was the time!
who are you and what are you doing here?
Most likely the gal first!
I've even seen the mistress and wifey become besties!
Doesn't seem to happen with the hubby and boyfriend though...

I'm sure had something happened she could of produced the evidence prior to talking to anyone.

theres more to that but just not in good taste for the forum.

I'm sure most folks can figure that out.

I say if she could not read signals, oh ya they all are going to be giving some sort of signal, and she cant belive what hubby says well just get out call it good... fun well it lasted.

if I ask a question of my SO and get any sort of "I don't belive you"

well thats it. I'll move on or you move on or we both move on...

really simple.

but I think she needs to figure out what is what with out input from the peanut gallery that has no clue and was never there?

really my ex's freinds where the demise of my marriage, like to smack everyu one of them in the head!

I can deal with my blows but its my kids that suffererd. won't go into explanation.

sometime throwing you hand up and going "I dont know" is your best coarse , cause you dont!

not aimed anywhere or any one just sharing!
