Does anyone grow rosemary from seed? This is the first time I've tried rosemary, my seedlings look like tomatoes. Pots were cleaned, fresh starting mix, burpee seeds.

Seed is slow to germinate and not always true to the cultivar. Seed should be fresh. Ideal sowing temperature is 20°C. Seeds need light to germinate and should be lightly covered. Propagate in summer by layering or by cuttings, preferably those which have a ‘heel’, about 16cm long.

Rosemary is slow to strike, and very slow to grow in its first year or so. After that it speeds up a bit.
