Seed is slow to germinate and not always true to the cultivar. Seed should be fresh. Ideal sowing temperature is 20°C. Seeds need light to germinate and should be lightly covered. Propagate in summer by layering or by cuttings, preferably those which have a âheelâ, about 16cm long.
Rosemary is slow to strike, and very slow to grow in its first year or so. After that it speeds up a bit.
