I bought a preg sow. She is due this week. So far she does not even look preg. She is not even bagging up. She does not have any obvious signs of being preg. Are there tests or something I can do to make sure she is preg. I plan on buying a young boar in the late summer to fall. However I can get a good deal on a large black right now. Can someone suggest a preg testing method? The person with the lrg black suggests leaving the sow alone until the end of the month before worrying bout it.

If she's not bred - she should come into season within 21 days (between cycles.) You'll be able to tell because her rear end will pouf up and look red. I also thought that once she was bred (I have 2 preggies right now,) that the boar would leave her alone too but that's not the case.... He's chasing them all over still!

Good luck! Do you have an approximate due date?
