Asking around to help a friend ID a doe.

~sighs~ I tried calling ADGA for you, and they said they are not allowed to divulge any information about an animal or breeder just from the tattoo.

I looked in my ADGA book, but there were TONS of things that could have the Tattoo of "ANA'. Like "Acres-N-Acres", etc. Mine is "ABS", and that stands for "Arbre Sage".

The one I found IN WV that would be close was Elizabeth Anderson at Anderson Hollow Farm that does Nubians. But there is no guarantee that she was bred in WV.

I finally got frustrated going through the book.

ADGA genetics (or is it goat lookup?) lists the tattoo sequence of the goats... I don't think you can search by herd tattoo... that would be really helpful if you could!

I think your best bet is going around and asking others if they have any goats with an ANA in the right ear, and asking who bred them.

Herd code doesn't always go along with herd name... Mine is 5806, for example. ANA COULD be the breeder's initials, nickname, etc...

Problem is, everybody has a tattoo sequence... One only hopes that they are a big enough breeder to find them this way, and that they're still 'in business'.
