I agree that when people are starving anarchy is soon to follow. I disagree that the (physchy) of people will change after only 3 days of no food. The anarchy comes from panic, not from starvation. I went far longer than 3 days with no food and had no desire to slit anyone's throat or steal from anyone. Then again, I wasn't raised to believe that the world owed me anything like many are today. It's because of the way society has become a dependent people rather than independent that we'll see anarchy.

I think the difference is that a desperate person doesn't know where his or her next meal will come from and when it will come. Most of us in the US have no idea what this means. We choose to not eat for a variety of reasons: Religion, health, medical procedures, but we can see an end to our fast. Someone who is desperate can't see an end to their situation and these would be the people who would resort to violence to get food.
