I have a 3 gallon ceramic crock with a lid and I'd like to use it for making kraut - I am a total novice but would like to learn
How can I tell if the crock is still usable?
the glaze is not chipped off at all on the inside...but sort of looks cracked though when I slide my finger over it - feels smooth... seems oldish - has a star with a 3 in it and is brown and cream colored
