40 years of gardening and I can't grow a zucchini  First ones didn't come up...blamed it on old seed. Second ones doing fine and something ate them. Third ones doing exceptional until DH stood there too long with the fertilizer....arrrgh,killed 'em dead just when they were blossoming. Guess it will be banana bread for us this winter :) DEE who is happy to report that the rest of the garden is thriving under its thick blanket of mulch....no no NO...don't mail me your excess squash!

    Dee,

You have my sympathies. I'm on year 13 of zuchinni failure. Actually, the plants are looking really good right now, but I'm leaving town next week for about 10 days, and I know DH will forget to water the garden, so I'm writing them off before I go.

Never heard of a complete Zuchini failure.
All you need to do is leave your car unlocked at church and it's very likely you will have some big whoppers in it after services.

Yep, mention it to your gardening friends, and I'll bet they share.
