zoning?

    are there any really rural areas in PA or WV that dont have any zoning?

    I wonder if anybody has collected list of all counties/townships in USA without zoning/permits required? Be quite useful to homesteader types.

    Garrett Co. Maryland is surrounded by WV in the south & west and PA to the north. We have no zoning, except in the towns.

    Zoning = urban

    Here in this area of Maine, we have no zoning. They do require building permits. One permit is good for five years, costs $75, and you can use additional pages to list as many individual buildings as you want to construct on that one permit. No building inspectors though.
