Ok, so I am not having luck finding a dill chip recipe. We like the ones you put on burgers. So, my first question is can I just slice up the cukes and use a dill pickle recipe. And also I don't have access to fresh dill or just the dried spices. Can I use that instead and how much if the recipe calls for one sprig each jar?
I thank you all so much for your help......I am excited and feel like we are on the way to such a good life with all of your advice & help! :)

I just did a google search and found that if you don't have fresh dill you can substitute 1 tsp of dill seed for a head of dill. I would think that you could use a regular dill pickle recipe to make your hamburger pickles just do little round slices instead of spears.

No thanks necessary! Just enjoy your pickles! I just put up 9 pints of garlic dills this afternoon. Post a pic of yours if you can!
