Has anyone used dicatemous earth as a wormer, and if so did you deem it successful and would continue using it or something else?

We tried it and it was a disaster here. It's put me off trying alternative wormers but Shakelys Basic H has a better reputation.

I think that Texas A&M did a study on DE and found it to be worthless as a wormer. Ross, tell us more about Shakely's Basic H. Someone else that I am aquainted with uses it but I'm not sure if I would totally trust the opinion of only one.

I don't use it either, you know the old saying once bitten twice shy. Just I've read more convincing articles and post about shakelys both in the sheep mags and cattlemans magazines. Wish I had a reference for ya, but my book marks are a mess in places. I'm prefectly happy with the fenbendazole, Ivermectins, and Tramisol, so I don't have a great motivation to change. I'm only very rarely asked for organic meat at the market.
