I just wanted too comment on something, my dad has lambs coming now, had a ewe with twins that were only nursing one side..we milked the other side out too make it easier for them, kept a quart of the milk..next morning it had such cream on top, it was sooo good rich sweet milk..much better than the goat milk which we love!!None of us had ever thought to taste sheep milk before.

A N American thing, not using sheeps milk. The best cheeses are all made with sheeps milk. Worldwide more sheep are milked then any other species. (so I'm told!) France is the world production leader, although N America will likely surpass them if New Zealand doesn't first.

We milk our sheep. What an animal...really when I think about milking cows or goats I lose interest, I love the fact that sheep give 3 important products.
