wire floors

    I made 4 new cages with 1 by1halve wire floors. Ended up with 1inch side being up. can i get away with this or do i have to take it out and turn it over so halve side is up? It will be a lot of work,so im hopping not. thanks

    I have several cages some have the 1" side up others down, I don't see any difference in the rabbits.

    Run your hand over the cage floor. If the rough side is touching the
    rabbit's feet, think about how uncomfortable this would be. It might not
    be so bad for a young rabbit but it CAN tend to cause problems for
    heavier breeding stock.

    Just my opinion and experience........

    It doesn't support the rabbits weight properly and eventually you will have major hock problems, my recommendations..turn it.
