    One of the things I strongly dislike about Windows 8 is not having the start menu. I found Classic Shell and love it. Works seamlessly with 8.1. Like it's part of the OS. If you miss the old start menu you can download it here: http://www.classicshell.net/ Takes maybe a couple of minutes to set up. It's been around awhile, but I haven't seen it mentioned here that I know of.

    Windows 10 brought back the start menu. It was a free upgrade from 7 or 8.

    I ended up downloading the upgrade last night and it was installed when I woke up. It brings you current to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. I ended up uninstalling Classic Shell as I like Windows 10 menu better.

    Great! Glad you got it sorted. Windows 10 has been find for me since I upgraded. I actually customized the look and menus to look just like Windows 7 which I was used to.

    Thanks for letting me know about it! haha I had the original Vista image as my Windows 8 background. Sometimes you just gotta let go....:(
