Why is it that alot of Goat owners have Donkeys ? Could it be the same reason some Sheep owners have Donkeys ?

eather one of two reasons, LiveStock Guardians, or they just like Donkeys,
Donkeys and Llamas are used for Livestock guardian animals and work well for some people,

We got our Donkey before we got goats. He was given to my son. I have noticed that when I hear coyotes at night the Donkey will start braying and the coyotes go away.

If we ever get an animal for the kids to ride, it will be a donkey. I am allergic to horses and donkeys have the added bonus of being a guardian animal. I have heard tho, that it is best to get a jennet, not a jack.

On a side note, we named one of our nubian kids Jenny because she looked just like a little donkey when she was born. Very cute.
