Hello, I was hoping someone could help. My question is: which will tolerate EXTREME cold winters better: Dorper sheep or Boer Goats? I live on a mountain in Upstate Vermont near the Canadian border. It is not uncommon for some nights (or days) to have temperatures of minus 20 degrees (f). Any help would be greatly appreciated.....Dennis ( mailman@countrybuck.com ).

I'm not sure why those are your only choices, but we went with Icelandic and Shetland sheep for their hardiness. They needed to be able to stay out in a three-sided shelter with our temps here in NH, which often go to -30.

Both are kept in Canada but I'd want some kind of shelter for any animal I was keeping.
