I am wanting a produce scale. I will be using it for the FM for produce and I also need one for some chickens I am packaging for sale. I am thinking a hanging scale would work best??? Anybody got a good scale they like> Any info. on where to get one at a reasonable price would be appreciated. As well as your preference hanging scale or table top model. I have found them on Amazon and ebay from $25.00 up over $300.00, but I have no idea what brands or kinds are good, or legal for use at a FM???

Don't get a hanging scale, get a digital price computing scale. Amazon has one for around $150, a Torrey. I have one and a few others at the markets I sell at do as well. It works well and is a good value for the money when you are just starting out. It weighs quickly and accurately and is certifiable.

Thanks, I have been looking on Amazon and ebay and seen all kinds, but had not idea about which were good or not. I will certainly look at some of the Torrey brand ones.
