Sure enjoy reading the daily threads you fine people post. Just one thing really annoys me, how about adding your location to your on-line profile. The town and state would be ideal. Folks are always writing about their new property, goats in heat, first frost, types of trees leaves/browse that goat can eat.... Where do you live?? I may only live five minutes down the road, and would be glad to help out with animal emergencies, disbudding, milking procedures, banding, kidding, hoof trimming, I think you get the picture. Just hope you can find the time and make this minor adjustment it would be helpful to all of us, thanks. Tennessee John----Monterey, Tennessee

Knowing that there are internet kooks out there, I try not to be specific about where I live. Not that there are any kooks reading the goat forum. :)

However, if someone came to my county and asked where the lady who remodels houses, used to be a school teacher, travels back and forth to Missouri and Texas, and has goats, cows, and horses lives, I'd probably be identified. So.....I don't put in specifics. :)

South Central Missouri, Oregon County, Born and raised. Really I was born in Jonesboro AR, where dad was going to school at that time. But they brought me back home in a couple of days. Between Alton and Doniphan.

I thought you had to be a bit kooky to get involved with goats in the first place.

Texans very often put TEXAS, TEX, or TX in their name......were are just that freakin' proud, LOL...after all, it's like a whole other country :)

I am in central Texas, I have met some really nice people in person from this forum, real nice people. I am worried about nuts on the internet too, but so far, folks from this board are genuinely good folk.....even those from other states, LOL!

Way down in the SW corner of France, at the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, not far from Spain. Just on the Bernaise side of the river, the Basques are on the other side.

I live close to the va/ ky and tn line myself. If I wanted to go to Middleboro KY I can get to there in 40 mins or less depends on how fast we drive. If we left our house and went toward knoxville it would take us close to 2hours and half.. give or take a few.

3 hours, 47 minutes from my place to Monterey, Tennessee..WOW..

I live in a little tiny town in SW Oregon called Cave Junction...full time population maybe 1500? We are way southern Oregon..as the crow flies we are 10 miles from the California border. The nearest 'large' city is Grants Pass. Anyone close?? LOL?
