    In the hall?
    Going up the stairs?
    Over the toilet?

I once heard you should never place then in your bedroom,
because that is an intimate place for romance.
    What are your thoughts?

You realize in the openning list, subject lines are shortened, so your message is asking, "Where do you hang your family..."

    :)

In Walker County...that's why we've moved to St. Clair County

Sticky, you're not supposed to have a tv in the bedroom either. We're hanging all photos in the hallway.

We have them in the living room, dining room and wherever we can find some free space.

    None in the bedroom though.

Hmmm. I have the deer horns in the living room and a whole wall in the bedroom with family photos. I don't mind having the dead ancestors eyeballing me, but the photos of live relations came down. Too creepy. There's some awfully primitive thinking there.
I'm single, so a change of clothes is the only thrill for those photos.

When I took design classes (many moons ago), we were told NEVER hang family, friends photos in the living room. They are 'personal' -not for public and should be placed in the den, familyrooms, bedrooms, office or hallways. Now days, most homes do not have the traditional formal living and dining rooms(for entertaining and company only) Instead we have living rooms, den, eat-in kitchens, rooms that we LIVE in... So, now they say you can put photos of family anywhere you feel comfortable... I have a large den that I have all my family, friends and pets photos on--My sister called it my "Hall of Shame"!!
I also have pictures of my children in my bedroom. It is a very 'private' room and I keep them there just for me and DH. We will sometime sit and laugh about something the picture reminds us of...

I haven't got around to hanging many yet...the youngest is only 10 afterall. I think I want one of those screen/room divider thingies that hold lots of 8 x 10s...don't know where I would put it though. Maybe I'll just wait til they grown move out and send the pics with them!
