    Between a Leafhopper and a Grasshopper? Are these regional terms?

    Leaf hoppers are tiny, and you know what grasshoppers look like.

    So....are leafhoppers baby grasshoppers, then?

    I have a bunch mini dark colored hoppers on my lettuce, collard greens, and mustard greens.....I'm thinking they're baby grasshoppers using my greens to grow up on.

    No, they are seperate. They are mostly just a head and wings in appearance, about 1/4" long. Here's a picture:

    There are many different colorations.
