I made my Leek soup today. It went well with lunch.

Tomorrow a little pork tenderloin, I’m trying something new to us with it.
A pineapple salsa to go with, some coconut rice (never had it either) and maybe mushrooms.

I made rice last night with carrots and peas in it. My wife hates making rice, so said if I made it she’d cook one of my favorites today, shrimp Alfredo. It was ready when I got home from work. Yum! View attachment 118126
Wish we had a "drool" emoji. :)

Fettuccine Alfredo is DH's fave, so I make it at least once a year (on his birthday). I also make it for the occasions when he completes big farm/house projects.

Monday night, we had cheese tortellini and garlic bread. I also cooked some burger patties, with ground beef that was thawed.

Last night we ended up having homemade sloppy joes, waffle cut fries, and bacon wrapped asparagus for supper.

today for lunch, I had a couple chili cheese dogs with some pickles and peppers. Supper tonight, we are making pizza.

I think you should surprise him, and make it soon because you love him. :)
Whenever I make it, it is because I love him.

I adore that man. If he wanted it every night, I'd make it more often, but it's a treat, and he likes it that way. I assure you, I don't use the dish as a positive reinforcement. But I am put in mind of going out of my way to make something special when he goes out of his way to make something special for me.

He would love it if I made pizza every single day. Ugh.

Don't get me wrong. I do love a GOOD pizza. But DH has never met a pizza he didn't like, and he'd probably like it 7 days a week.

Almost forgot: Tonight is round steak, rolled up around mushroom, bacon, and onion, cooked in the small roasting pan with potatoes, carrots, and celery. :)

Thinking that due to the frigid weather - below zero is forecasted for the next 2 days a pot of hamburger/veggie soup might just be the ticket..
But then again chili may be a good alternative or maybe a stew or a roast then hot roast beef sandwiches.
With all these choices I'll probably end up grilling a ham and cheese sandwich..... and not worry bout the cold. :p

Dinner last night was interesting.
DH at least three times asked “Now, what’s in this again?”
We would give the seasoning on the pork a thumbs up.
Pineapple salsa and coconut rice, not bad, I might order it in a restaurant if I ever saw it.
I’m going to try to make something we’ve never tasted at least once a month.

Tonight’s dinner is hamburgers and hash browns. Maybe banana bread too.

For breakfast this morning my youngest requested pancakes topped with maple syrup and butter. Of course had to also cook some Purnell's "Old Folks" medium sausage to go with the pancakes. :)

Tonight we had Salisbury Steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans for supper. I also made some stuffed peppers. There are a few leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

My wife was due for her colonoscopy so she couldn't eat anything Thursday, meaning the kitchen was closed. Fortunately, her appointment was first thing Friday morning and she was out by 11. Then, it was off to the local "Granny's Pancakes" for eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, pancakes and a side of 1 biscuit and brown gravy.
I was going to joke that she had coffee and toast, but she had the same thing.
