Hi I am new to the forum and want to try pressure canning. I inherited an All American 941 (the biggest one i think) from my father. I unfortunatley have a glass cook top and it says not to use them on that. I am wondering if anyone has one of these and has used a propane burner or something like it outside. I am thinking that it might be easierto do outside anyway, hope so. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know about canning outside, but I have a glass cook top stove and I can on it.

I have the 921, 3 of them in fact, and can outside with them all the time.
I use the burners from our Turkey friers, with no problem.:thumb:
But you do need to make sure it is level and on a sturdy surface, and that there isn't to much wind.

My dh bought me a gas single burner thing,but I mostly use the side burner on our gas grill. You do have to have it in an area where it can be sheltered from wind. But that can be helped with a piece of plywood.
