i have an acre that will get fenced in in january, and i would like to grow something for the goats to much on, and maybe the chickens to scratch in. we have access to 1/3 of a water share, although would prefer not to use that much of it, and i was wondering what would be good to grow, and would be productive this spring/summer. clover, alfalfa, ryegrass, i have NO idea! any help is appreciated!

yeah i have mainly been reading on alfalfa and yellow sweet clover. i think alfalfa takes a little more water than i want to use, but who knows?
