what might this plant be?

    this one that i dont even have any idea of.... i originaly thought it might be amaranth, but upon looking at the pictures on google, i dont think so..... any ideas?

    i think that may be curly dock, that is going to seed.

    google says yes :)

    any idea whether bitter or curly dock would seed first?

    Yep, that is curly dock. BTW Curly dock is a close relative of buckwheat. you can winnow those seeds and use them for flour. It is fair to middlin but is better mixed with some wheat flour. Also, winnowing them takes a while. Otherwise the greens are edible and the root is used medicinally.
