and slugs from your greens? I'm considering planting a sizeable amount of green leafy stuff this year, and wondered how you all who market garden clean massive amounts of this stuff.

Is there some industry secret lurking out there in the mists anyone could share?

I spray them with the hose, some folks wash them in a tub of water. I bought a large lettuce spinner also as some folks had complained it was to wet so rotted to fast.I only have to wash if it rains around when I harvest as that washes compost up on the leaves. for radishes and taters I use the hose and put the on chicken wire over a platform.

Sounds like how we do it too. My mom used to put hers in the washtub on the spin cycle to spin it dry. To contain it, she'd put it in a mesh bag first. I wonder how well it would wash on the gentle cycle.
