I live in zone 7 and my goats have eaten all my grass in the backyard. I need to replant right away since we live on the side of a hill and the dirt washes away with the rains. What can I plant now? I'd prefer Bermuda but not sure if its a good time. Is it to early for rye for my area? Our first freeze date isn't till Nov 10

I would go ahead and plant bermuda mixed with ryegrass. The bermuda will probably germinate immediately and the ryegrass should put on some pretty good growth before winter sets in.
