    They played it on Fox and Friends and I heard Yanny (TV). When I listen to it on the Guardian site from my computer I distinctly hear Laurel. I think it is related to the quality of the audio you are hearing it from.

    I was told it has to do with the bass levels or something.
    Some people hear different pitches better than others

    These internet sensations are pretty silly social experiments, but they seem to work. Good to know our project is working.

    I have to stand corrected...............
    I had 2 guys standing by my desk and they both heard "Laurel".
    Our Plant Manager heard "Yammy" and the ladies in Sales, one heard Yanny and the other heard "Gary" or close to that. She didn't hear Yanny or Laurel.
    I find this kind of thing interesting.

    I listened to a few minutes of this clip, now I hear "Laurel"

    Me too. Clearly heard Yammy (not Yanni) when I first listened to it. After hearing it repeated all day on the radio, now all I can hear is Laurel.
