Someone had a bucket full of grape vines with the roots soaking in water at the end of their driveway with a note that said "Free Red Grape Vines- take all you want" so I did. Now I don't know what to do with them :) What I have read says to plant them in early spring, but obviously I have to plant them now. Do they need to go up against a building or do I need to construct something for them to grow up?? They're pretty big- about 3 or 4 feet from the roots the the tops with lots of branches- I don't know if that's good or bad.

I am zone 5/6, if that matters any.

Nah, plant them now and keep well watered. I'd shade the plant and cut off all but two leaves to reduce dehydration (transpiration?). Put a lot of compost on them so they don't dry out.
