I am a student at Penn State and my campus has a recycling center nearby that I frequent and just recently picked up some refrigerator shelfs and missed out on getting two old torpedo heaters.
Any ideas with what you can do with them?
Also picked up and old cabinet.
(Reason why I like the center? Free books.)

Do you mean the metal grates?
Make a fire ring with rocks, and use them as a grill for holding pots and pans, they work for that.

What type of refrigerator shelves do you have? I have some that are plastic coated that I used to make shelves to cure my soap on.

Metal ones could be used for anything involving fire - cooking over fire rings, charcoal, etc.. If you have enough, I've seen someone make a small animal cage out of them.

I'm not sure what you could do with glass ones.
