We raise and butcher our own hogs. We buy weaners for $30-40 and use about $30 worth of bulk feed, plus scraps and garden surplus. But I was wondering, what would it cost to go to a grocery store and buy the butchered parts necessary to reassemble a hog? All the chops, hams, bacons, hocks, stew, tenderloins, sausage, everything. Anybody ever heard? Once I did the math on making an old burned out dairy cow into jerky to sell by the ounce and her retail price was incredible.
