Thought I would let you all know there are many many nice things on here for the Webbs. Bob Webb has lost his battle but the enormous exspense will go on for the family. I have donated a 2x4 banner like the one I did for Vicki which is shown here. So go take a look at the banner and make a bid, then go see what else is offered. Also if any of you have something to donate please contact. Linda Shuls tclamanchas@yahoo.com

That's awesome, Sondra! I'm so glad to see all the support rolling out for them.

I bought a doeling from Kentucky for their auction, I should get a sign to go with her! :)

Bob and Marilou Webb own Southfork LaManchas in Lyon Colorado. Bob is in the process of fighting liver failure. He is being tested for placement on the national transplant list. Having been too ill to work for quite some time, they have gone through their savings. Their herd is their pride and joy, and is their only source of constant income. Household bills need to be paid, hay and grain mix are badly needed. I believe we, the goat community, can help Bob and Marilou with their bills so they can concentrate on helping Bob during this illness and transplant.

To all the wonderful friends of Bob and Marilou Webb:

This is one of the hardest e-mails I have ever had to write. I received a
call from Marilou this morning saying that the transplant board has decided
to remove Bob from the transplant list. His condition has deteriorated
drastically in the past couple of weeks; he has a clotting disorder as well
as other problemssome due to the liver failure and others do to the
blood/clotting disorder. The doctors made their decision based on the fact
that they do not feel Bob would make it through surgery or that he would
respond to a new liver if they did the transplant. A plan is being put in
place for Bob to be moved out of the Denver hospital and closer to home to
take part of the stress of travel off of family and friends. Needless to
say, Marilou is under a tremendous amount of stress, not only due to the
fact that she may very soon loose her husband, friend, companion of 37 years
(plus their 2 years of dating), but what is to happen afterwards. Life is
changing; this is very hard for a person who is as organized as Marilou is.
Unfortunately, there is no way to be prepared or organized during times like
this (most is taken out of your hands, you are not in control).

On my own personal level, since I try to call Bob every other day or so, is
what I am going say to himhow does a person prepare themselves to pass
away? Does he want to talk about it? Do I even attempt to bring up the
subject (not something I want to do)? At this point Marilou is not sure the
doctors have told Bob that he is off of the list (he knows the reasons for
being dropped from the list; this we have talked about), if so, he knows
that he is losing his battle for life. This is something I cannot even
begin to imagine. The only thing anyone can do now is to hope and pray that
the pain that Bob is currently in eases up; that he be comfortable. We also
have to support Marilou, Bobby and Richie and hope they have the strength to
make it through what must be the most difficult time in their lives.

Please keep Bob, Marilou, Bobby and Richie in your thoughts and prayers.

Sadly, Bob passed away this last Sunday morning. Marilou is going to have a lot of medical and funeral expenses to try to cover, so support is definitely needed.
