We weren't able to buy the farm we orifinally wanted but we are renting a farmhouse on 14 acres. Our house in NH is due to close Dec 29th and then we are planning to buy this place. Also the land abutting this property will be on the market soon and we hope to be able to purchase more.

Right now we have mostly fields, some mixed woods, a gorgeous view, 8 apple trees out front, 2 big barns and 5 bedrooms. The house is older and needs a lot of updating but the price isn't bad.

The kids love it here and have been out exploring since we got here. It is so nice to have privacy and room to roam!

Just wanted to share with everyone :)

Fourteen acres, an orchard and fields and a five bedroom house and barns is sure a nice start for anybody. Im sure no one will have any trouble finding something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving at your house. It sounds wonderful and I bet the kids are having a ball. And just think, you will be able to cut your own Christmas tree I bet. Congratulations.

We are in Woodland which is @ 8 miles out of Caribou. So far we really like it up here, except for the WIND lol. It was so incredible windy yesterday and we kept losing power. Thankfully we do have wood heat and a generator for when we need it. It was warm enough yesterday that we didn't bother with either, but nice to know when the time comes we will be ready.

Thanks everyone! :)

According to the local weatherforcaster ( WABI 5 Bangor) Caribou has something like a 76% chance of a " white " Thanksgiving. Keep the woodstove fired up and your wood dry... it's gonna get COLD up there.

Well the kids will be happy if it snows. We had just a bit on Thursday into Friday but it all melted already. The wood we do have is 2 years old so is should be OK. I, for one am not looking forward to the cold but I had best get used to it lol

If you are a church-goer there's a good Southern Baptist church in Caribou. I preached there a couple of times years ago. Not too big a congregation but they do have terrific facilities. It was a very large church when Loring AFB was active.

Here's our website.. take a peak if you'd like. www.mainegoats.com

Thank you for the site, great pics! We are church go-ers and will check out the church as we haven't found a church yet but we are open to where-ever the Lord leads us.

Take care!
