we bought a healthy hive

    about i month ago we got the hive all eqp. and a 2 frame extractor for 2 hunderd dollors the women said it was time to empty so yesterday we took off the top super a shallow one we got 25 pounds of honey we replaced that with new frames now should i go into the next one witch is a deep one there would still be onther deep one under that

    Are you running a double brood and one super ? If so you will probable run into brood and eggs in that one,at least in the center frames.If you did reverses on them earlier it may be honey bound. You will have to pull afew frames up to see. If you are in a cilmate that has hard winters,you will want to make sure your bees have enough time to remake that 2nd brood box with winter stores of honey to feed on.
