Not sure if this is the place to go But am looking for an answer , candle wax spilled on my wood table and I cleaned all the wax off. But now the film is left on, any ideas on how to clean that up?

uhmmm what kind of wax. There are several types.
IF i remember right mineral spirits will remove wax.
As with any type of chemical application, there is a chance it will remove some of the stain or finish.

I think Id try VERY hot water on a cloth and dry it immediately. That may melt the residue so the cloth can pick it up, and it shouldnt harm the finish

Iron a piece of cloth over the wax.The wax should jump onto the cloth,

We had a few blobs of candle wax on top of our video cabinet. I scraped most of it off making sure I didn't damage the furniture finish -- then I sprayed it with WD-40 and let is soak a few minutes -- each time I applied the WD and later wiped it off more wax was removed. It took a while but it seemed to work well and didn't hurt the finish underneath.
