I posted this on the barter board as well......

We are looking to purchase a jersey heifer or cow to be our family milk cow. We are looking for a young, either bred (pref to a jersey) or open, within an hour of Portland, OR with current vet/shot records.

Depending on the time frame of the sale, I would like to be able to arrange for transportation to our property as we do not have our livestock trailer yet. We live in Molalla, OR just SE of Portland.

Please email me at runlikeagirl@yahoo.com or reply here.

    Thank you.
    Carla

You can look on the Jersey Cattle Association directory for a breeder near you. http://www.jerseydirectory.com/

Where do you live? Do you already milk the other Jersey you have? Do you sell the milk? I am always looking for people in WA to refer my excess milk customers to.

I live on Vashon Island, between Seattle and Tacoma.

  4. There's a couple of dairies in Canby & Mollalla. The contact information is at <http://www.jerseydirectory.com/>. The families are nice folks. I also have family in Linn County that have Jerseys. I can pass your information on to them if you'd like (they are offline). email me at heather_f@cascademodels.com

We actually purchased a jersey from Fallen Oak Jerseys in Molalla. They are great people and we just love the cow we bought from them. Very sweet!
