My Mom and I stopped at Wade's Mill this morning. A beautiful old grist mill out in the country in Virginia. It's a beautiful old mill run by very friendly people and their equally friendly dog. They have a nice store with lots of great kitchen gadgets, pickles, jams and preserves, a few books, including a cookbook and of course, their own freshly milled grains. Several different varieties of grain are available. I bought some white grits, yellow cornmeal, and all purpose flour to use when we get home.

Here are a few pictures.

All of these pretty pictures of VA today. Have you used their flour before?

No, I haven't used any of their products before. I'm looking forward to trying them though. It will for sure be the freshest flour and meal I've ever used.

Todays pictures are VA, tomorrows will be NC. Assuming of course, that I feel like bothering to upload them to photobucket after we get off the road for the night.:)
