Any body know where I can buy some? I picked up an old Best Made Kook-Kwick pressure cooker/canner at the auction today. It's in great shape, but I just realized its missing the safety plug from the center of the lid. Does anybody know if there is another brand whose part are compatable?

    Thanks!

measure the hole diamator and start checking hardware stores or internet, do a google search on pressure cookers and see how many differnt curent brands there are, and then start loking for parts on each one, may even want to check Ebay,

Had a friend with a really old cooker. She took it to an oil field gasket company and for about 10 bucks they made her a new gasket and new plug. They have really held up good.

Yeah, I don't have any oil fields nearby, but I was thinking that I can make the gasket myself. I wonder how they made the new plug? I may just have to buy the plugs for several different models and see if one fits.
