I posted a while back about buying some Vidalia onion SETS (not plants) and was happy to get them as I never had any luck with the plants. Well, I picked my first Vidalia yesterday and it was nice and sweet and already the size of a baseball and the top was still green so it would have grown more. Sure hope Ace has these sets again next year!

I had wonderful luck with my Vidalias this year. In fact they were the best onion crop I've ever had. It has simply been a good year for onions.

My Sweet Spanish are still growing, but haven't bulbed up yet much. I'm going to fertilize them one more time as it's been a while. I rather thought they'd have given it up by now.
