I am wishing the government would finally fall even though there is nothing to replace it. It would be anarchy but at lease the surrounding countries would be allowed to bring in food.

IMO - it's only a matter of time. It will be worse here when it happens.

I have been reading on that. It is worse than bad.

There was an article in the NY Times last week and Venezuala's solution is tourism. Really?

This article posts a VERY different picture. https://venezuelanalysis.com/analysis/13603

Basically, It says that the poorer areas are still Socialist, and they are dependent on the CLAP food boxes and the meds the government gives them. There maybe a long wait for meds but the government is their ONLY source and so they mostly back the government.

It is apparently the middle class that is hurting so badly and are complaining so loudly.

Excepting of course, that newspaper is a government mouthpiece and proud of it. Since much of the country losing weight, eventually the CLAP boxes will not be enough to keep the poor areas peacefull

A tourist was seen going into a hotel. Shortly afterwards 6 armed men walked in and forced the staff to take them to the tourists room and open it, and they took everything.

The beaches are still lovely, but few tourists go there now.

Read and article in the Washington Post, looters are not even bothering to pickup 20-bolivar notes off the ground. Not worth the effort. It talks 100 bolivars to equal 1 cent. Inflation is running at 80% a MONTH, so prices double ever 34 days or so. Feel the Burn! God help those people, he's the only one that can.
