Where can I get a vaccine for CL and exactly how do I use it? Where do I give the shot etc? Will the goats test positive for CL after I give it?

You can get the vaccine from Jefferslivestock.com They carry it in the goat section. When and if you get it make sure you get enough to administer 2 shots to each goat. Depending on the number of goats you have only get the amount you need for each searies. The reason is they say to use a bottle only one time to prevent contamination so you would need 2 bottles for the total. First shot is done 2 cc each on the upper shoulder area and remember if you give all of them in left or right because in 4 weeks you must give another shot in the opposite side. Anyone not showing signs of CL can get the shot and all kids over 6 weeks of age. Then once a year after that. Yes they will test positive for CL but wont have absesses. Hope this helps.
