urinary track infection..

    Hi moca was casterated about 2 weeks ago.
    now he is having symtoms of uti.. grinding teeth.. short pee pee.. crys when goes and stand there for a long time to tinkle just a little..
    also he leaks a little too..
    is the best thing to do a penicllian shot. any info appreciated..

    That sounds more like urinary calculi than an infection- Like a kidney stone in people, ouch!

    If he blocks completely, he will die a horribly painful death! The best thing to do is get him to a vet to have a urinary catherter passed up through his penis and into his bladder. This is a simple procedure (usually) if you have caught it in time.

    hi been to vet.. vet says blockage but moca is still pee peeing, they placed him on a medication to take which should resolve it.. the medication is sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim. cherry flavor in which he does not like. gonna make sure he gets water and good walks... :dance: thanks again.. now we can babie him and see how it works.. thanks again tam sam and our clan
