Do you remember last Winter (February) when a 9year old girl went missing in the UK? It was all over the news, hunts for her, mother crying on TV...girl was found almost a month later in her Uncle's house, inside a couch base I think. I know it touched me deeply...and I thought it was over...sad, but over.
Well, turns out it was all a scam in order to get money by the mother along with the uncle. (Each person involved has a different version of what went on).
I'm REALLY glad the girl is unharmed physically. But I feel so sorry for her if the conviction of her mother is upheld and is really true. It's just so hard to believe that any mother would kidnap her own child...just to get some reward money. Very strange and sad, indeed.
