    Has anyone ever heard of a paloma tree (not sure of the spelling) I am in middle TN Am trying to find info on it

    Hey,

    Look up Paulonia tomentosa. Add the phrase 'invasive species' for some good information. The marketing tools aren't the whole story on this beautiful beast.

    yeah, what she said.:)

    it is marketed as a fast growing, productive tree. truth is it is highly invasive and crowds out other native and more desirable species. read up before buying.

    This trees common name is Empress Tree or Paulownia Tomentosa and is zone 5 hardy tree grows 30'-40' with eqaul spread of canopy it has large heartshaped leafs, has been commercial planted for wood industry the tops usually die back in the winter this doesnt really effect growth of the tree has purple fragrant foxglove shaped flowers that form clusters this is a highly invasive in soom regions, hope this helps Terry. :)
