Tractor Tires

1023 Views 10 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  farminghandyman
I have a JD 1050 4Wdrive.
The front tires are wearing uneven as the one side of the tred is wearing more than the other side as outside vs inside.
Here is the question.
How do I correct/adjust toe in/tow out - that is to say the slant of the tire back to normal or even straight tracking?
I rotated the tires which is a temporary fix but not a long time correction or cure.
Thanks in advance.

Most of the John Deer front ends the tow out is controled by the tyerods. The camber is not adustable.
The tires are wearing the way they are for severial reasons. One of these is that the tow in is wrong. The way you describe the wear one of the tye rods is too shourt. John Deer have two ways to adjust the tow in . You can remove a bolt on the tye rod and move it to another grooove or you can screw it out a little bit. The camber is set by the manufacture and the only way it can be changed is to bend the axiel.
