    Hi all,

Went to the sale today and got a Massey Ferguson 2200. Diesel with a front end loader. It's and industrial farm tractor. I am looking for information on them and I know I have seen some good tractor forums mentioned. Anyone give me a heads up where to look up info from the serial number etc? Any Massey Ferguson lovers on here?

    Congratulations Zeal!

We have a Case - David Brown Diesel and love it. It was a great investment. Just wish ours had come with a front end loader. Sigh.

Thanks all. The info was wonderful, from what was posted it looks like I have a 65! I have put it to work already and am very pleased with it. Looks like I am a new MF fan! I have always loved the little 8n's but I must say I like this a little better, with it being bigger and diesel.

We had a MF 65 diesel. It was a leaker which I was told it is a common problem in tnis model. Tried everything but couldn"t be fixed. The leakage was from the transmission.

If you have any questions on it let me know. I have the parts manuals and service manuals for the MF 2200. I have a 1967 MF2200 with a model 200 front end loader and a model 232 backhoe on it. I love the thing. It does what I need and more.. The Massey Ferguson shop that I deal with can still get most of the parts for it... The Perkins 3 cyl. diesel will run forever. Enjoy

    How I wish I had a front-end loader.

There used to be little garden tractors, a little bigger than a riding mower, with a loader. I have not seen any ads for same. I wouldn't even begin to know where to start to look for a good used one. I just need to be able to move compost, leaf mulch, etc. around. I have wheelbarrows, but I need a little more than that and need the physical help it would provide.
