Valentine's Day 2018 falls on Ash Wednesday. Can Christians have sex?

Darnit! It's too early to be cleaning my keyboard--now I've got to go to the kitchen and make another cup of coffee...... :)

"Get off the couch and start helping me around the house or I'll cut you off!"

"You can't cut me off, you don't know where I'm getting it from."

"There are no rules regarding sexual activity on Ash Wednesday, one expert told nj.com. In fact, there aren’t any specific days when the Catholic Church asks married couples to abstain from sex."

growing up we didn't know anything about Lent. yesterday was always called shrove tues though pancake night. mom would make stacks of pancake and put coins in them a Ring and I can't remember what else. today was ash Wednesday of course but poor ole mother must have thought it was hash because we would always have cabbage hash and corned beef on that day we didn't observe them for what they really are.

Easter though was really big . we would have sunrise service we were in church most of the day. (Easter was also the day that my sisters and i got a new outfit from our hat to our shoes)

since I moved to NS I've been going to the chowder lunches starting this fri but it seems to be just the Anglican and catholic that observe it.(Lent) I could be wrong though. ~Georgia

I went out and bought my Yvonne a single yellow rose, set it on the coffee table where she would be sure to find it when she came in from work. I then laid down for a nap. When I got up she was home.... And had added a red rose to the bouquet for me! Now how sweet is that?! The girl knows me and loves me anyway!

Kare fixed corn beef has for dinner yesterday. Not happy I didn't send a E card like I have since I retired.

Told her I wasn't happy last spring she had made plans to put me in a nurseing home in the future some time and I still am not happy about it today.

It is one thing to do it in the future when my old age problems are to much to handle. Another thing to plan it in advance.
