So I know that nightshade plants are not good for pigs but can they eat ripe tomatoes?

Good food. Our pigs eat the entire plants when turned into the tomato gardens in the fall. It doesn't make a huge part of their diet though.

Good to know. I guess moderation is the key. The farmer we got our piglets from was very adamant about no night shades. But it seemed that the ripe fruit should be OK.
