This morning I had to leave early to restock the pantry. I've been sick for weeks and finally I had a day I could get out and do some shopping.
I left ds15 home in charge of things.
I came home to find he had NOT watered the greenhouse! The door was shut, fan was off and everything was wilted and almost laying down.
I have about 100 tomato plants in there that are almost 20" tall.
    Any chance they will recover?????????

All you can do is water and cool it down and Pray.Tomato Plants are pretty resilante.

Okay, I'll try not to panic.
I was so happy because these are heirloom tomatoes. They are huge and are the best looking tomatoes we have ever successfully grown.
I'll continue to pray for my poor plants!

Tomatoes are very tough.... water them, ventilate them and in the morning, chances are they will look like nothing had ever happened.

    How do they look today?
    Curious how the maters faired...

Thats what happens when you leave the man in charge....but as I told my DH last night I bet they are not all like that, but I have yet to find one!
Last time I left DH in charge of something, the baby unlocked the door and went for a walk!

That's what would have happened had I left my WIFE in charge.

Better to rely on a gardener (of whatever gender) than a non-gardener to handle things like these.

So, did your tomatoes recover? My experience has been if the leaves aren't actually crispy with a little TLC they come right back.
